Welcome to My Dreamer Blog!
Introduction
Hello, I am Jalissa! Founder, owner, designer, creator, sole-employee...you get the point, I do everything by myself... of Dreamer Crochet LLC! I started Dreamer Crochet when I was a junior in undergraduate college, back in 2021. However, I did not make Dreamer Crochet an official business until April of 2024. When I first started this business, I sold $25 crop tops, as my beginner price, around my university and was bribing people to have their friends follow my Instagram by telling them that I would take off another $5 if they had at least 5 friends follow @dreamer.crochet (which you should also follow, by the way, lol [just click the link]).
Fast forward to the present day and now not only do I offer crochet clothing, but also hats, bags, tapestries (coming soon), crochet classes, and so much more in store for the future. Be on the look for stickers, coloring books, and other cool items! I'll show you some of my products below and good news, they are for sell directly through my website.

Why Start A Blog?
On top of all of the amazing things that Dreamer Crochet produces, I have the Dreamer Blog which you are now reading a post from! Back to the point of this post since I gave you some background on my business. This blog post is essentially to give you, my lovely Dreamers, the reasons as to why I am even blogging in the first place!
I have so many different ideas on the multitude of directions that I can take this blog. And guess what? I AM going to take it into all the directions I can think of! Now you may be wondering, what directions is this crazy lady talking about and can she just get to the point? tsk tsk Be patient my dear reader and you shall receive all of the answers you so desire.
When I was younger I used to have a mini blog where I went under the name of FunkyChickenCow (don't judge the name, I was 11 and scared to use my real name) and I created this blog to talk about my reviews of books, movies, and tv shows. I also talked about fun facts as I loved spreading information about stuff that I did not know about previously. I basically used this blog to talk about whatever I wanted to and it feel great to do it. Now that I am an adult, that has a business, I figured why not try the whole blogging scene again! It would be fun for me to write and, hopefully, fun for my readers to read.
Truthfully not only will this blog bring in more traction to my website but also, I wanted to be able to have my own space where I can talk about things crochet related. I do not really have any friends that are interested in the crafts that I do, which is totally fine but I want to be able to talk about crochet SOMEWHERE. This is that somewhere lol.
I am going to use this blog to give 1. important crochet information/knowledge, 2. personal crochet updates for myself/business, 3. free crochet patterns (that would also include YouTube videos from my Dreamer Crochet channel that is coming soon), and 4. other miscellaneous crochet related posts. For all you crocheters out there, I know you can't wait to get access to more free crochet patterns!
In the future, I may also venture out into other topics that I am knowledgeable in. Some ideas that come to mind include: small business information (like how to start and maintain a business), facts about grad school (which I currently am in), and topics that my fellow Dreamers want me to talk about!

I want this blog to be a space where crafters can come and talk about what they love to do, crafts! So we shall see where this journey takes me. Takes us. Because at the end of the day what is a blog without its readers right?
One day, this blog will become such big of a place that when you think of crochet, you think of Dreamer Crochet!
